Salvador Dali: In Search of Immortality
Director David Pujol
Salvador Dali: In Search of Immortality proposes an exhaustive journey through his life, work and loves and that of Gala, his muse and collaborator. It begins in 1929 as he joins the brilliant surrealist movement and advances until the year of the artist's death in 1989.
Produced by the Dali foundation in Spain, and featuring unparalleled access to never before seen interviews and footage of the artist at work, the documentary showcases his famous home-workshop in Portlligat and details his life and inspirations in Paris, New York and his hometown of Figueres.
With his status cemented amongst the masters, the documentary helps us get closer to a painter who has managed to create a character that is a work of art itself, journeying beyond the man and the painter, helping to shape his immortality as one of the greatest artists of the 20th century.
